Name:        The Unit: First Responders: Here We Go
Scoring:     12 shots Vickers, on 6 IDPA targets and 1 mini-popper
Scenario:    Terrorists are threatening to destroy a hijacked plane of trade
             delegates: You dispatch the well-hidden sentry, sneak onboard,
             and find 1 terrorist at the detonator, 2 armed with submachine
             guns, 1 with a knife and hostage, and a 5th who will also try for
             the detonator.
Designer:    Dennis Haysbert (with a nod to Benicio Del Toro)
Type:        medium/long; house-clearing variation
Procedure:   There is no cover.  Only emergency reloads allowed.  All reloads
             on clock (no reloading between strings).
             String 1: Begin with pistol at retention.  At the beep, engage
             PP1 until it falls.  Then engage T1 with 1 head shot, advancing
             as needed.
             Reholster hot and go to P2.
             String 2: Begin at P2 with pistol at retention.  At the beep, fire
             2 shots each: on T2-T3 while advancing; on T4 from P3 (large
             window); on T5-T6 from P4.
Props:       5ft T1-angledLeft, small popper; yard line; double barrel;

Name:        Clear the Deck
Scoring:     6 shots Vickers, on 3 IDPA targets; concealment optional
Scenario:    You are an air marshal.  Terrorists have hijacked your plane.
             It's your plane, it's up to you.
Designer:    S Tod (after 2005 Nationals, Stage 9)
Type:        short; 2--5 yds on-the-move exercise
Procedure:   Begin seated with hands above shoulders (surrender position).
             At the beep, draw and engage T3, T5, and T6 with 2 rounds each
             in tactical sequence while retreating.
Props:       6ft T3, 6ft T5-shirt, 5ft T6-shirt; double barrel; chair

Name:        Mini-Truck Stop
Scoring:     6 shots Vickers, on 4 headless IDPA targets (scored as a single
             target) and 1 IDPA target; concealment optional
Scenario:    While fueling your mini-truck, a dog jumps out of a nearby
             vehicle to attack you.  The dog's owner, taking exception to
             your self-defense, comes out of the convenience store shooting.
Designer:    S Tod (after Claude W.)
Type:        short; moving-to-cover Armed Citizen
Procedure:   Begin facing uprange.  At the beep, turn, draw, and engage the
             dog with 4 shots (1 each on D1-D4, far to near) then 2 shots
             on T1 -- all while moving as indicated in sketch.
Props:       mini-truck; 5ft T1-shirt; {"classic" D1, D2, D3, D4}

Name:        Brian's Basics, Up Close
Scoring:     12 shots Limited, on 2 IDPA targets
Scenario:    (drill: "Don't sacrifice accuracy for speed.  Keep pushing yourself
             until you're just able to hold 75% of your shots in the 0-ring.")

Type:        medium/long; 7-yd accuracy standard
Procedure:   Begin each string with pistol holstered and fully loaded. 
             String 1: Fire 1 head shot each on T1-T2 freestyle.
             String 2: Fire 2 rounds each on T1-T2 one hand only.
             String 3: Fire 3 rounds each on T1-T2 other hand only.

Scenario:    You're in the middle of fighting your way to cover.

Type:        medium; moving-to-cover Armed Citizen
Procedure:   Begin with max. 6 rounds in pistol at retention.  At the beep,
             while moving to cover (or from cover), engage T2-T3 with
             3 rounds each.  Reload behind cover and fire 1 head shot each
             on T2-T3.  [T1 not used in this stage.]
Props:       4ft T2, 5ft T3; barrel, knee rug; yard-line

Name:        Silhouette of Another
Scoring:     9 shots Limited, on 3 IDPA targets
Scenario:    Armed Citizen: Rudely awakened from your nap, you find
             two burglars in your house and see the silhouette of another.
Designer:    S Tod
Type:        short/medium; moving/tactical Armed Citizen
Procedure:   Begin with pistol at retention, 5 yds in front of T3.
             String 1: While retreating, fire 1 round each on T1-T3.
             Reload to IDPA capacity.
             String 2: While retreating, fire 2 rounds each, in tactical
             sequence.

Scenario:    As one of the world's top shooters, you've been invited to a CP
             tournament.  Three armed robbers show up.  You must save
             yourself and Milla Jovavich from this uninvited incursion.

Type:        short; 3-yd tactical Armed Citizen
Procedure:   Begin seated with palms on table.  At the beep, engage T1-T3
             with 2 rounds each in tactical sequence.
Props:       table, chair; 4ft T1-shirt, 5ft T2-angled-NT, low T3

Name:        The Getaway, MacG
Scoring:     4 shots Vickers, on 1 IDPA target
Scenario:    (Celebrity Poker, from the opposing vantage point; taken
             together, these two stages hint at the importance of tactical
             sequence.)
