Scenario: (drill)

Type: medium, V3.5, IDPA-Classifier variation
Procedure: With max. 6 rounds loaded, facing uprange, 8 yards from T2;
fire 2 rounds each on T1-T3 one hand only. Reload. (If
the shooter has been trained in one-hand reloading, they may
do so.) Then re-engage with 2 shots each.
String B: Scan the area, reload, re-scan, and reholster hot.
Props: 6-4-5 arrangement at 10-8-9 yards
Name: Weak Headed
Scoring: 6 shots Vickers, on 2 IDPA targets
Scenario: You've been injured in a gunfight. Two determined attackers
remain.
Designer: S Tod
Type: short, V3.5, off-hand exercise
Procedure: Standing 7-yds in front of T1, pistol in weak hand at low-ready;
on signal, engage any 2 targets with 3 head shots each.
String B: Scan the area, then unload etc.
Props: 6-4-5 arrangement at 7-5-6 yards
Name: The Way of the Gun
Scoring: 2 shots Vickers, on 1 IDPA target and 1 steel popper
Scenario: While house clearing, you see only the foot of the next threat
around a corner.
Designer: Benicio Del Toro
Type: short, V3, 12-yd combat fragment
Procedure: Start with pistol at retention. On signal, engage PP1 until
it falls. Then advance on T1 and engage with 1 head shot.
Props: 5ft T1-angledLeft, small steel PP1
Name: Stilted Triangle
Scoring: 18 shots Limited, on 3 IDPA targets
Scenario: (moving)
Designer: S Tod
Type: long, V3.5, 5--10 yd Siebel-drill variation
Procedure: Pistol loaded to IDPA capacity but spare mags/loaders with
max. 6 rounds each: while moving along each side of the
triangle, fire 2 shots each on T1-T3. All reloads per IDPA
rules. (Shooter may stop only to reload.)
String B: Scan the area, then unload etc.
Props: 5ft T1-angledLeft, 4ft T2, 6ft T3
Name: West Side Precinct
Scoring: 12 shots Limited, on 2 IDPA targets
Scenario: While doing paperwork at your desk, two armed intruders
attack your co-workers.
Designer: S Tod
Type: medium, V3, 15--10 yd tactical cover drill
Procedure: Start with palms on the desktop. At the signal, remain seated
and engage T1-T2 with 3 shots each. Perform any IDPA
reload, move to barrel, and re-engage with 3 shots each.
String B: Scan the area, reload, re-scan, and reholster hot.
Props: 5ft T1-shirt, 4ft T2-shirt; desk, chair, (double)barrel
Name: Knife to a Gunfight
Scoring: 5 shots Vickers, on 2 IDPA targets; concealment required
Scenario: Two druggies are looking to fund their habit. Both pull
edged weapons and start to advance. The first is so stoned
that 2 body hits don't take him down.
Designer: Jim Higginbotham (2006/1999 Nationals, Stage 5)
Type: short, V3.5, 5--10yd moving-to-cover exercise
Procedure: On signal, retreat toward cover, engaging T1-T2 with 2 shots
each. From cover, re-engage T1 with 1 round to the head.
String B: Scan the area, then unload etc.
Props: 5ft T1-shirt, 4ft T2-shirt, (double)barrel
