Live from Dottie's

In memory of Dorothy "Dottie" Hart, 17 Mar 1945 - 12 Dec 2000

technical details -- WAP-ready cell-phone version -- Overview of Ariadne's Thread

These Live from Dottie's recordings were the precursors to the live broadcasts, which ran nightly from 3/29/2000 until the police raid on 1/27/2001. The streaming multimedia presentations require a G2 player (free Basic), which can show a presentation while downloading it.

There is a trade-off: the audio is AM-quality. But we design the RealMedia presentations so you can skip through them, download FM-quality versions of the tracks you like, and listen to them later with an MP3 player.

The samplers have one RealMedia and MP3 selection from each show, typically the tune with the most boom and worth-your-while. Like the full-length presentations, the 15-minute RealMedia compilations have pictures and contact information.

Taken together, the samplers are a multimedia directory -- a thread that guides you through the unfamiliar. So experience a place where the sights and sounds are always live.... And don't forget to listen to The Poodles before you go.
